Instruments in the facility include dissecting, stereology, fluorescence, confocal, transmission electron, environmental scanning electron, scanned probe and micro- and nano-XCT. Various supporting facilities include a wet lab, a BL-2 lab and a library of books and small equipment available for checkout. Ancillary equipment housed in the supporting facilities includes an ultramicrotome, a carbon evaporator, two sputter coaters, a fiber optic puller and two critical point dryers. Consult the equipment pages for detailed information. Research staff are on hand to teach and aid each user in accomplishing his or her scientific goals within the Microscopy Suite.

The Microscopy Suite is located in the basement of the Beckman Institute in suite B606.

For new users, please email itg-ms@beckman.illinois.edu to set up a time for training.  For users who have already been trained, please read and acknowledge that you have read this notice before signing up for time: Microscopy Suite Covid 19 Safety SOP, and take the training at https://www.drs.illinois.edu/Page/COVID19CampusSafety and provide your certificate to  speyton@illinois.edu.
